Our first webinar, which took place on 07/11/24, from 9am to 10am (BRT) was attended by Sheila Oliveira Pires, Director of the Department of Support for Innovation Ecosystems of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI). and Publio Ribeiro, General Coordinator of Innovative Environments and Startups (MCTI). Both presented the various public policies that exist in Brazil and gave an overview of the expansion of support for innovation, but also addressed the difficulties faced in expanding innovation in a country of continental dimensions like Brazil.
In summary, what has become clear is that there is work to articulate several innovation networks under a public-private partnership regime, bearing in mind the need for the government to structure a more integrated network of support for scientists and researchers.
The part that promotes more structured connections from an international point of view is still in an embryonic phase as the number of supports in this regard are still very low.
Around 80 participants from different parts of the country were present. The full webinar can be seen at this link.
